Thankful for Adoption Day 2010

It seems fitting that Cooper's Adoption Day falls so near to Thanksgiving every year. We have so much for which to be thankful. November 24, 2008 we became a 'Forever Family' and we will celebrate that day every year!
We are blessed and thankful for such an amazing boy to lead, laugh with and love!

We are thankful for Cooper's birth family who have granted us the unbelievable opportunity to be his parents.

We thank God who has made the wonders of parenthood and the joys of family such an overwhelming blessing in our lives.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and give you hope.

We hope the season reminds you of everything you have to be THANKFUL for this year.

Blessings,
Kiersten, Chad and Cooper Hill

Go Big Red BB Game

Last night we took Cooper to his first Husker Basket Ball game. He LOVED it!
Way too engrossed in the popcorn and the action to pose for a pic with Daddy.
Herbie dropped by to say Hello and get a Hi-Five! Coop thought he was the coolest thing - EVER!
(Notice the Herbie on his t-shirt!)

Lil' Red stopped a later in the evening. He was still excited, but starting to get a little sleepy.

Then, the game was such a blow-out that he decided to have a war of dragon vs. dinosaur.

And, just about fell asleep before it was over.
Chad and I swung him by the arms all the way to the car as he was shouting,
"One, two, three, HERBIE!"

Go Big Red!

Special Visitor for Cooper

We were blessed to spend the afternoon with Cooper's birth mom today. She's such a sweet and wonderful person and we love having the opportunity to spend time with her. He put on quite a show: told stories, did kung fu moves, talked about baseball and movies, showed her his room, talked about dragons.... Wrapped it all up with hugs!

It makes my heart so happy to have her with us and know that she and Cooper will be able to develop a special relationship as he grows up.

We are all truly blessed!

Baby Dancing Videos

So, my friend Stacy has this incredible blog: Crazy Loves Company. Last night she posted this super cute video. See it here on You Tube.

Cooper came out into the living room to see what we were doing and we showed him the video and he LOVED it! So, this is a video of Cooper watching the video! What a crazy tech world we live in!

Halloween 2010

I was really hoping to post a better picture first, but this is what we have! Cooper told everyone for weeks that for Halloween, "I be Woody, Dada be Buzz, Mama be Jessie." We couldn't talk him into anything else so we gave in! Here are a few pics of Woody's Round Up Gang. Though Woody wouldn't wear his vest and only wore his hat on the way to Trick or Treat!

He would run to the door of each house saying, "I twick o tweating!" Then he would say, "Happy Howoween!" It was too cute!

Then, toward the end of the night, our friend Steve came over wearing his Incredibles costume. This happens to be Cooper's 2nd favorite movie. When Steve came into the living room, Cooper stopped cold and said, "Hi, Super Hero!" He ran into his room and came back with his Incredibles Costume stripping off the Woody outfit as fast as he could. He posed for this picture, gave "Mr. Incredible" a high-five or two and spent the rest of the night playing Super Hero. He wouldn't put on any other clothes today either! He says, "I Incredi-Boy!"

2010 Halloween Costume Contest

"I Be Woody!"

The Seward Rotary Club sponsors a Halloween costume contest every year. We are so proud of Cooper. He got dressed in his costume and went up on stage. He told the MC that he's "Woody" and even answered some questions, such as

MC: "Who are you?"
Cooper: "I Woody."

MC: "Where's Buzz?"
Cooper: "I don't know where Buzz at."

MC: "So Woody, do you have any new movies coming out soon?"
Cooper: "Yes, I a new movie."

He won 3rd Place! (About 10+ 2 year-olds) He got a medal and a big bag of candy and he was thrilled with both of them! It was so much FUN! We can't wait until Halloween.
