Coop loves noodles!

Cooper had his fill of noodles last night when Chad and I cooked up some angel hair pasta for dinner.

He LOVED it, though it was a bit difficult for him to shovel them into his mouth as fast as he would have liked.

There was a fair amount of pasta in his chair and his tummy. To be more accurate, his bib should probably have said, "Noodle Magnet" instead of "Chick Magnet!"

Oh yeah - and the dogs devoured clean up duty!

I couldn't resist posting this video. A really nice mommy would have helped Cooper to remove the noodle from his forehead. However, for some reason I found the whole thing really funny. I hope you do too!

Best Christmas EVER!

There's no other way to describe it! It was the best Christmas we've ever had. All day I just kept thinking, "my cup runneth over!" Here are pictures from our wonderful Christmas.

We spent Christmas Eve with Chad's mom and dad. We went to church and then to their house to exchange gifts. It was wonderful. Such a fun night.

Yes, Cooper and I have matching PJ's! They were actually pretty cute! Thanks Grandma!

We came home and got up on Christmas morning to open presents with just Chad, Cooper and I. Santa brought Coop the Fisher Price Laugh and Learn Kitchen and Living Room set. (SO many great presents - this one is still in the box!) Then my mom and Chris came with more presents - including 'Star' the new rocking pony. I think Cooper's favorite gift is a Curious George Jack-In-the-Box. (If you don't count the bows, tissue paper and dog toys.) He laughs every time George pops up!

I can't imagine there's ever been a child so loved and SO lavished with presents. We're all so excited and he's just too fun to buy for! Enjoy the pictures.

We hope you all had a very Merry Christmas and we wish you a Very Happy New Year!
Love,
Kiersten, Chad and Christmas Cooper

Does Santa Bring Ceiling Fans?

Cooper gives Santa his Christmas list!

Cooper had his first visit with the big man in red on Sunday night. He didn't scream and cry like a lot of the other kids, but could not have been LESS interested in Santa! He found the ceiling fan much more intriguing. So, we're going to assume that he's not disinterested, just very advanced and trying to tell Santa he would really like a ceiling fan for Christmas!

Can't wait, just a couple more weeks!

Here comes Santa Claus, Here comes Santa Claus.......

It's Official! Adoption Day!

Today's Cooper's Adoption Day!

Chad, Cooper and I went before the Judge in Seward County today. We swore under oath to love him forever and to tell him forever that we are his Mom and Dad.

It's the perfect day and EVERYTHING we've ever dreamed! Actually better than we ever imagined!

Such a wonderful day. So many emotions, that can't even be described.

We can't believe how amazing God's blessing is in our lives. We see His work, blessings and incredible Love and Grace everyday when we look at Cooper.

The love we feel for Cooper, our friends, our family and Cooper's birthparents is overwhelming!
Thank you all for your love and prayers and support.

Here's to FOREVER!
Love,
Chad, Kiersten and Cooper Hill

Mickie Helps Cooper Crawl and Bowl

This next video is for the dog lovers out there. Mickie (Cooper's 10 month old Golden Retriever) was trying to get in on the Penguin Bowling action tonight. And, Cooper was trying to get her. I thought it was cute!

Enjoy baby and puppy lovers!
XOXO,
Kiersten

Cooper playing with his favorite toy!

I'm going to post 2 more quick videos!

This one is Cooper in his Bright Starts Activity Center. I've told so many people about this toy. It is the BEST toy we have in the house. He loves it. It holds his attention and we can't believe how he can run around the table now. It's great! Click here for a link to the Activity Center on ToysRUs. But, you can also find it at other toy and discount stores!

I highly recommend this as a gift for your favorite baby this holiday season!

Take care,
Kiersten

Update on our big baby!

Hello everyone! Here's the latest update to the Hill Baby Blog.

Our big guy is over 20 lbs. He has 4 teeth (three on bottom and one on top) and another poking through on the top.I think the recent round of ear infections are cleared up (for all 3 of us) and he seems to be back to his normal happy-guy self. (Unless he's hungry - then he's found screaming at the top of his lungs to be very effective!)

Here is Cooper helping Daddy with his homework. Big helper!

The picture above is a photo I didn't think I'd ever see! This is our Goddaughter, McKenzie Jo, taking a bath with Cooper when we were visiting them earlier this month. McKenzie is our miracle baby! They're the best blessings I've ever imagined!

BIGGEST UPDATE:
He's starting to crawl so close - but really starting to figure it all out!
WOW - ready or not - here we go!
This video is kind of boring, but shows how much he's changed. He was Penguin Bowling tonight. Not sure who was having more fun Cooper or me?

Have a great week!

Happy Halloween Cooper!

Here are pictures from Cooper's first Halloween!

As you can see - we had a family theme.
Cooper was a hot dog.
Mickie and Morgan were hot dogs too.
Chad and I were Ketchup and Mustard.

As you can tell, fun was had by all!

Here's an attempt at a 7 month photo. He didn't really want to cooperate. Remember the first month or 2 when he just laid there and kinda smiled?!?

And, a video of his bath this morning!

Happy Halloween!
Love,
Kiersten, Chad and Cooper

Cooper's Newest Stats

Cooper went to the Dr. today for his 6 month check-up. Here are his latest stats!

Height: 29" (Off the charts for height - over 95th percentile)
Weight: 18 pounds 12 oz. (Between 75-90th percentile)

He got his first 2 teeth on Saturday (October 4). We woke up in the morning and there were 2 tiny little sharp teeth finally poking through! It's been a little rough going the last couple of weeks as those teeth were coming in. But, now he's back to his normal, happy, smiley, giggling self! And, the teeth are SO cute!

He also had his first haircut a couple of weeks ago, (Oct 22). My mom cut it for me while I tried holding his head! He didn't think it was very fun, but he sure looks so cute! His hair had gotten so long that it covered his shirt collars and had to be tucked behind his ears. So, now he looks like a clean cut little sweetie, but he sure looks older!
He and Mickie have sure been loving on each other a lot! We have a hard time keeping her away from him and he will roll across the room to get to her. It's a lovefest between Cooper and his puppy!

It's been a big couple of weeks for our little guy. But we love every minute more than we ever thought was possible!

Take care.
Love,
C,C&K

Happy, Laughing, 6-Month Cooper!

It's so hard to believe that Cooper is 6 months old already! Here's a couple of pics to celebrate.
This one was last night, just after his bath and before bed. You can see the must-have bedtime accessories - Puppy and Blanket!

Then, I snapped these pics this morning. He's so darn cute!

If you're interested, all of the photos from our 6-month "photo shoot" are here on Kodak Gallery.

And, he loves to laugh. I shot this video last night. I was hiding under the tray of his highchair and popping up. He cracks me up!

Enjoy!

Sleepiest Fan in Memorial Stadium

Cooper really liked the game, but he was sleepy! By 6:00, he'd already been tailgating and entertaining all of us for hours! So, he managed to sneak in a quick nap, even as the rest of the stadium celebrated!

More Husker Cooper

Coop thought Daddy's drink looked good. After the Huskers scored, he watched the balloons float away. He was mesmerized. I'm pretty sure this is my favorite picture ever taken inside Memorial Stadium!

He was a trooper! Slept through part of the game, then hung out and tailgated like a champ. Sound asleep all the way from the stadium back home! What a GREAT day!

Greatest Husker Game Ever!

Last night on the way home, Chad and I decided that we've never had more fun in Memorial Stadium! Cooper went to his first Husker game tonight and we all had a great time. Here's the link to our Kodak Gallery album, all of the pics from the day are there. But, I'll post some of the best here. Stay tuned for a great video clip in a later post!

More in the next post! I can only upload a few at a time! :-)
Isn't he the cutest Husker ever?

Cooper Makes Noise

Here's a quick video of the little man in his swing this afternoon.

He was talking and making all kinds of great sounds. I just thought it was too cute!

Have a great weekend,

Kiersten, Chad and Cooper

Cooper loves food!

We started feeding Cooper a little baby food mixed with cereal. I say "a little", but what I really mean is a whole container at a time! He loves it! We've been through squash and now green beans. We'll need to check out the baby food aisle on our next trip to the grocery store so we can plot our next yummy treat. I'll post a couple of pics of him eating his food/wearing his food.
Squash...
Must make you sleepy?

But beans......

Are so good, you clean the whole bowl!

Here's the link to all of these pics at Kodak Gallery if you really want to check them all out -- his 5 month pics are here too!

Have a great weekend - Go Big Red!

Cooper and his puppy

I always preface things by saying, "I know I'm biased but...." In this case, I shot a quick video that I think will melt the heart of dog lovers. Cooper has discovered his puppy. Mickie is the 7-1/2 month old Golden Retriever that we brought home 2 weeks before we got the call to pick up Cooper. The first few weeks were a little wild, but she's mellowing out and turning into a TERRIFIC dog! Here they are playing together this afternoon.

Have a great weekend!

Love,
Kiersten

5 Month Cooper-Star!

Here's a quick post with the newest pictures of the Cooper-Star! He's doing great, growing and thriving. He's a strong little bugger! Still only rolling from his back to his stomach, but I think he'll be rolling all over in just days. He's even thinking about pulling himself up on things - WOW! I hope we're ready for this!
Hope everyone's doing great!
Kiersten, Chad and Cooper

Cooper had a great time cheering on the Huskers during his first televised Husker game. Go Big Red!

This is one of his 5 month pics. He's so cute, look at this crazy guy hair!

Why is he sucking on his toes? Because he can, and besides right out of the bath, your toes are as clean as they get!

This is the perfect picture of Cooper. A sweet little grin, such a funny, happy baby. We're so blessed!

Super Cooper

Life is about to get even more interesting! Tuesday, August 12, Super Cooper rolled over!
Now he rolls over whenever you put him down. But he still gets quite angry when he has to spend too much time on his tummy. I guess if he gets mad enough, he'll figure out a way to go back the other way.

I shot this quick video clip tonight. To save time, I helped him get started, but he can do it all on his own. He's pretty cute!

Enjoy!

Cooper 4 Months and Texas

Cooper celebrated his 4 month birthday and we left the next day to take an airplane to Dallas! We visited some of my cousins and celebrated my Great-Aunt's 94th Birthday. It was a wonderful trip!

Chad and I took Cooper to the Dr. today for his 4 month check-up. He's a BIG BOY! 17.5 pounds and 27 inches tall. That puts him in the 90th Percentile for both weight and height. WOW! He is just such a good baby. He eats good, sleeps great and constantly entertains us!

Enjoy the newest pictures.
Love,
Kiersten (Coop and Chad)

This is Cooper's Chris Farley impression.
Contrary to what this photo says, we did NOT gate check the baby. Just the car seat and stroller.
I took Cooper swimming every day we were there. The first night he kicked back, fell asleep and let me pull him around the pool! He loves swimming!
Here's Nickel reading Cooper a story after he woke up.

This is Cooper and my mom's first cousin, Dick. I think the two of them look a lot alike and they really liked each other!
