For quite some time, Cooper has been fascinated by the kitty cat. Perhaps it is because the cat is sort of elusive? Unlike the dogs, who are in his face CONSTANTLY, the cat really only comes around occasionally. Maybe the cat's really around more often but, in comparison to the dogs, Cooper thinks he's very interesting. Well, tonight Coop was very excited to see that the kitty was sitting in the chair. So, he tried out his new standing and walking skills to "pet" the kitty. (In the corner of the video, you can see Mickie trying to get in on the Cooper-Kitty lovefest tonight. Chad had to hold her back so she stayed out of it!)
I don't think you can hear it on the video, but before he was actually saying "kitty" and we're pretty sure he's saying "doggie" too! AND, he'll probably be walking everywhere very soon. Tonight he took 3-4 steps on his own a couple of different times. This is all so much fun!
Have a nice weekend and enjoy the video!

More pics from Phoenix
I wanted to post a few more of our pics from last months' trip to Phoenix. We had a WONDERFUL time with Kim, Ashley and Dylan. The kids played and played and Kim and I solved the problems of the world over a bottle of wine. It was a terrific get away.
I miss them already!

Here are the 3 kids posing for a quick picture. Very quick!

They're such good buddies, and I think this picture is just so cute!

Dylan taught Cooper this fun game about taking stuff out of the kitchen drawers. Cooper now thinks it's fun to do at home too!

Yeah, we're building the rivalry already. Regardless of who they cheer for, they're the cutest little fans around!

This is one of my favorite pictures of Cooper from the trip. He loved being outside and playing in the grass. It was beautiful weather.

Cooper 10 Months
I've taken lots of pictures of Cooper over the last couple of weeks. I'd try to sneak in the "10 Month" sign every once in awhile. He's just so active you can't get him to stay still very long. All is wonderful - we're just a happy little family!
Here he's eating breakfast: mini-pancakes and bananas. This baby LOVES to eat!

His last check-up at the Dr's office went really well. He's a BIG boy! 22lbs and over 30" tall! 75th percentile for weight and 90th percentile for height. He's pulling himself up on everything and as you can see by the picture - standing on his own. He likes to take his bowls and cups out of this drawer and throw them on the floor. Fun game!
Coop mauling Mickie. You can see how much he liked that sign!
I found him under the chair this weekend just playing with his toys. He loves the challenge of climbing over things.

Cooper and Dylan
Cooper and I are in Phoenix visiting my best friend since 3rd grade!
This is Kim's son Dylan. Dylan and Cooper are just 2-1/2 months apart. Dylan turned 1 last week.
This is Kim's daughter Ashley. She's 4 and a total crack up. Reminds me so much of her mom!

Stinky Baby
Ok, so this may not be the most tasteful video I've ever published to the blog. But, his laugh in this video just kills me. He thinks this is hilarious. Just watch and you'll see what I mean!
Cooper Update - 9 months
Things happen so fast these days I haven't had time to update the blog! I'll post some pictures that I took of Cooper celebrating 9 months. (Wow!) He hasn't been to the Dr. for his official 9 month visit yet, so we still don't have a recent height. (Though he's well past my knees.) We did have him weighed last week when he went in to check on his cold and he's 22.5 pounds! Hope that all is well for you - our lives are pretty great!
Here he is standing up on one of his toys.

He LOVES the story time chair that Sagehorns got him for Christmas.

Here you can see how many teeth he has. 3 - almost 4 - on the bottom and 4 on the top.

Here's a quick video from this morning. He was laughing at me and pulled himself right up with the kitchen chair. He's getting SO BIG!

Coop loves noodles!
Cooper had his fill of noodles last night when Chad and I cooked up some angel hair pasta for dinner.

He LOVED it, though it was a bit difficult for him to shovel them into his mouth as fast as he would have liked.

There was a fair amount of pasta in his chair and his tummy. To be more accurate, his bib should probably have said, "Noodle Magnet" instead of "Chick Magnet!"

Oh yeah - and the dogs devoured clean up duty!
I couldn't resist posting this video. A really nice mommy would have helped Cooper to remove the noodle from his forehead. However, for some reason I found the whole thing really funny. I hope you do too!
