Cooper Pedaling April 2010

Cooper has the GREATEST babysitter-family EVER!
I picked him up last night and they were all so excited to show me how he learned to pedal the bike. Then we all cheer and he really likes that!
Thank you, Goldsmiths, for being SO great to our Super Cooper!

Gotcha Day Golfing!

Our family has 3 special dates that we celebrate:
Cooper's Birthday 3/30
Gotcha Day 4/1 (This is the day we brought him home from the hospital)
Adoption day 11/24 (This is the day our Adoption became final)

So on top of many birthday presents, just a couple of days later, we get him a little something to celebrate Gotcha Day. This year, we got him his own set of Lefty Golf Clubs. Chad and I took him out golfing in our new golf cart. We all had an amazing time! Sometimes it is hard to grasp how truly blessed and lucky we are!

Happy Days!

ROCKSTAR!

Cooper thinks he's a ROCKSTAR! His favorite instrument? DRUMS!
(Wants to be a drummer like his Mommy and his Grandpa!)

We were watching American Idol and Cooper broke out the drum pad he got for his birthday. He will also play air guitar and table top piano upon request. But, this is a quick video of him playing the drums like a ROCKSTAR!

At the end of the video, I thought he said "Bass". But, listening to it again tonight, I am pretty sure he says, "Peace." -- See what I mean - a total ROCKSTAR!

Yee Haw Birthday Boy!

Planning for Cooper's 2nd Birthday Party, I asked him if he want to have a party with "Crazy Hats" or a Cowboy Party. He requested a party with Cowboy Hats! It was a very low-key affair except for the cupcakes. I decided to go-all-Martha-Stewart on the cupcakes. cowboys and horses!

Cooper's Great-Grandma Donna helping him open a couple of presents. Like his cowboy boots?? They have Buzz and Woody from Toy Story on them. Oh yeah, and they light up when he walks!

More Horse and Cowboy Cupcakes. I made way too many! The people at Chad's office ate cupcakes for several days! Too bad they didn't taste as good as they looked.

I made up little Cowboy hats for a couple of the neighbor kids and the kids Cooper goes to the babysitter with. They each had a sucker, a cowboy rubber duck, a little coloring book and some rodeo stickers. They were cute, and Cooper got all of the left-overs! His stick horses were also lined up for the party!

Here's the Birthday Cowboy playing with his hat and getting ready to eat a cupcake.

The morning of his actual birthday he was a little under the weather from a sinus infection. But, still woke up and came out of his bedroom wearing a monster hat and his super cool cape!

Happy Happy Birthday to you!

Augusta Easter Egg Hunt

We had an Easter Egg Hunt in our neighborhood the weekend before Easter. Cooper decided that it was a better deal to just sit in his wagon and scout for eggs while we pulled him around.

He was very excited to find an Easter Egg next to a GOLF BALL!

As you can see, he picked up the Golf Ball, threw it in his bucket and left the egg where it was. He was way more excited about a misplaced range ball then an entire basked full of eggs. Though once we got home, he thought the candy inside was pretty cool!

Thanks neighbors, for loaning us the bucket, since we forgot ours. He doesn't even care that it's pink. He was also quite thrilled with the slide in their backyard.

It was so fun to see all of the kids together. Watching them all play together makes me so glad to have our new house in this neighborhood.

Zookeeper

Cooper is really into animals right now. He LOVES playing with all of his zoo animals (with an occasional dinosaur or dragon thrown in the mix)! He can identify most animals and what sounds they make. Like nearly everything else he does, it's very cute.

He also has a "Zoo Train" with animals and a Zookeeper. I work with the President/CEO of the Lincoln Children's Zoo. His name is John Chapo. So, we call the Zookeeper at Cooper's Zoo, John Chapo. Every time he loses the little figure, he runs around the house yelling, "Chapo! John Chapo where are you?" It cracks us up! I'm pretty sure that's what he's doing in this picture.
